Description:

The purpose of the scholarship is to assist students proceeding to the Professional Years of the BE(Hons) degree.

Value/Benefits: Financial assistance with the costs associated with university study, at a value of $2,000

Level of Study: Undergraduate

Closing Date: 5:00 pm (NZT) 31 March (Applications open approximately 8 weeks before this date)

Tenure: One year

Number Available Annually: Two

Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: Full-time enrolment in a Professional Year of the Bachelor of Engineering with Honours degree programme at the University of Canterbury

Citizenship/Residency Requirements: Not applicable

Special Eligibility Requirements:

The scholarships may be held only by full-time students at the University of Canterbury who, at the time of the award, have completed, or been exempted from, the Engineering Intermediate Year, and are taking subjects of the Professional courses leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Engineering with Honours.

The holders of the scholarships, and previous holders, may apply for the awards in subsequent years.

Additional Information:

The funds for these scholarships are provided from the income of an endowment under the will of the late Mrs Margaret Agnes McCully in memory of her husband, Charles S. McCully, a past student of the School of Engineering. The purpose of the scholarships is to assist students proceeding to the B.E.(Hons) degree.
