The purpose of this scholarship is to promote student interest in the application of engineering principles to the ongoing development of the oil and gas industry; provide an awareness of the petroleum industry in New Zealand; and to encourage students to seek career opportunities in New Zealand within the oil and gas industry.

Applicable enrolment during tenure: Enrolment, full-time or part-time, at the University of Canterbury in a programme
for a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (BE(Hons)) degree, either in:

a. the Second Professional Year; or
b. the Third Professional Year, with an intention to proceed to postgraduate study.

Citizenship/residency requirements: New Zealand citizen
