Tait Communications Undergraduate Scholarship
Award Amount
$5,000 + possibility of summer vacation employment

Description:

The purpose of this scholarship is to support undergraduate students in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Software Engineering at the University of Canterbury.

Value/Benefits:
a. Financial assistance with the costs associated with university study, to a value of $5,000
b. Tait Communications may also offer a recipient paid employment during the summer vacation following the tenure of the scholarship, provided suitable positions are available

Level of Study: Undergraduate

Closing Date: 11:59 pm (NZT) 31 March (Applications open approximately 8 weeks before this date)

Tenure: One year

Number Available Annually: One or more

Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: Must be enrolled full-time in either:
a. Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (BE(Hons)) Second or Third Professional Year, with specialisation in one of the following:
  • Computer Engineering; or
  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering; or
  • Software Engineering.

b. 300-level study towards a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or a Bachelor of Science with Honours (BSc(Hons)) degree in Computer Science.

Citizenship/Residency Requirements: Must be a citizen of New Zealand, or hold a New Zealand residence class visa
