Brief Description:
The purpose of this scholarship is to recognise and support promising students from north Wairarapa who intend to complete a programme for a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (BE(Hons)) degree in Civil or Natural Resources Engineering at the University of Canterbury.

Masterton District Council

Application Information:
Selection will be based on:
academic achievement, as indicated by quality of achievement at NCEA Level 2, or equivalent university entrance qualification;
involvement in community, cultural and/or sporting activities; and
demonstrated commitment to, or interest in, the Civil or Natural Resources Engineering programme at the University of Canterbury.

Additional Information:
A graduate of the University’s Civil Engineering programme and pupil of Wairarapa College in the 1960s established the scholarship in 2015. It honours family, community, school teachers, and UC Professor Tom Paulay, who was an inspirational structural engineering teacher and mentor.
