Brief Description:

This scholarship supports supports research by students studying at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury for a Master of Science (MSc) or PhD degree in the Faculty of Science in the Schools of Biological Sciences, Earth and Environment or Physical and Chemical Sciences, or in the disciplines of Speech and Hearing or Audiology.

Value/Benefits: Financial assistance at a value determined by funds available and stated in the offer. This typically may include a stipend and/or tuition fee payments.

Level of Study: Master's | Doctoral

Closing Date: 11:59 pm (NZT) on 31 October (Applications open approximately 8 weeks before this date)

Tenure: Up to 240 points for a Master’s student or up to 360 points for a PhD student.

Number Available Annually: At least five.

Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: Full-time enrolment in a Master of Science (MSc) or PhD degree in the Faculty of Science in the Schools of Biological Sciences, Earth and Environment or Physical and Chemical Sciences, or in the disciplines of Speech and Hearing or Audiology.

Citizenship/Residency Requirements: All other things being equal preference will be given to Aotearoa New Zealand citizens or holders of Aotearoa New Zealand residence class visas.
