This scholarship is to support research by postgraduate students at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury on topics related to ageing.

Tenure: One year

Number Available Annually: Two

Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: Master’s or doctoral programme with research on a topic related to ageing.

Citizenship/Residency Requirements: Preference is given to those who are citizens of Aotearoa New Zealand or holders of Aotearoa New Zealand residence class visas.

Application Information:

Applications are accepted from students in a wide range of disciplines, in line with the philosophy of the HOPE Foundation for Research on Ageing of encouraging eclectic research into ageing and its effects on individuals and society.

Additional Information:

The HOPE Foundation for Research on Ageing established the scholarship in 2019. The scholarship replaced the HOPE-Selwyn Foundation Scholarship in Ageing Research: University of Canterbury, which the Foundation had established in 2014. The Foundation is a registered charitable trust established in 1996 to assist the funding of research and education essential to the health and welfare of older people in Aotearoa New Zealand.
