The purpose of this scholarship is to support students entering a Bachelor of Forestry Science degree programme at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury.

Value/Benefits: Financial assistance with course fees at a value of $3,000

Level of Study: Undergraduate

Closing Date: 11:59 pm (NZT) 31 May (Applications open approximately 8 weeks before this date)

Tenure: One year

Number Available Annually: Up to two

Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: Full-time enrolment in the second or third year of a Bachelor of Forestry Science degree programme at the University of Canterbury

Citizenship/Residency Requirements: Not applicable

Special Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must have transferred into the second or third year of study for a Bachelor of Forestry Science degree programme at the University of Canterbury in the year of application, having successfully completed one or two semesters of study in a non-Forestry University academic programme.

Miscellaneous:

This scholarship was established in 2017 by Wairarapa Estate Limited (WEL), a forestry investment managed by New Forests Asset Management Pty Ltd to encourage tertiary level forestry study.
