Brief Description:
This scholarship supports Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury students who are majoring or minoring in French, to participate in the University’s Student Exchange Programme at one of the University’s partner institutions in France.

11:59 pm (NZT) 15 October (Applications open approximately 8 weeks before this date)

Applicable enrolment during tenure:
French major or minor for a BA, BA(Hons), or an MA or MATI at the University of Canterbury in conjunction with any programme at a French Reciprocal Exchange Partner Institution of Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury.
Citizenship/residency requirements:
Applicants must be citizens of New Zealand or holders of New Zealand residence class visas
Special requirements:
Applicants must have completed FREN 222 French Language Acquisition: Intermediate B (or equivalent) with a grade of B or higher.
Applicants must have been accepted by the University of Canterbury as participants in the University’s Student Exchange Programme at French Reciprocal Exchange Partner Institutions of the University.

Special Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must be enrolled full-time at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury, majoring or minoring in French, and in a programme for the degree of Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Arts with Honours (BA(Hons)), a Master of Arts (MA) or a Master of Applied Translation and Interpreting (MATI).
Applicants must have completed FREN 222 French Language Acquisition: Intermediate B (or equivalent) with a grade of B or higher.
Applicants must have been accepted by the University of Canterbury as participants in the University’s Student Exchange Programme at French Reciprocal Exchange Partner Institutions of the University.
