Brief Description:

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is pleased to offers the Crispin Hales Awhi Pūtea |Financial Need Grant to provide manaakitanga | support to our ākonga | students who are experiencing financial difficulties. The department offers this as a way of protecting the mana of Mechanical Engineering ākonga | students who are experiencing challenges that are impacting their ability to fully concentrate on their academic success. This grant aims to lighten the financial burden on ākonga | students, allowing them to focus on their academic and personal growth.

Value/Benefits: Up to $1,000

Level of Study: Undergraduate or Postgraduate

Number Available Annually: As funds permit

Applicable Enrolment: Full- or part-time enrolment in a programme of study in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Canterbury.

Citizenship/Residency Requirements: Applicants must be citizens of Aotearoa New Zealand or holders of Aotearoa New Zealand residence class visas.
