Applicable Enrolment During Tenure:
The scholarship is tenable during full-time enrolment at the University of Canterbury in one of the following:
the final year of a programme for an Honours degree; or
any year of a programme for a postgraduate degree or a postgraduate diploma

Application Information:
This application form is NOT for those starting their first year of undergraduate study in the year following the year of application - it is only for students who will be in their final year of an honours degree, or any year of a postgraduate degree programme, in the year of tenure. Please refer to the "University of Canterbury Alumni Scholarship (Incoming First-Year)" if you are looking to begin your first year of undergraduate study at UC next year.
Special Eligibility Requirements:
Selection will be based on:
academic achievement;
involvement in sporting, cultural and/or community activities; and
affinity with the objectives of the
University of Canterbury Alumni South Island Chapter
, as demonstrated in a brief statement required as part of the application.
Additional Information:
The University of Canterbury Alumni South Island Chapter established the scholarship in 2014. It replaces the University of Canterbury Alumni Association Scholarships, which had been first awarded in 1996, and which were then reviewed and relaunched in 2008. In 2013 the University of Canterbury Alumni Association was wound up and the University of Canterbury Alumni South Island Chapter was founded.
