The purpose of this scholarship is to support postgraduate students at the University of Canterbury.

Value/Benefits: Financial assistance at a value of $5,000

Level of Study: Full-time enrolment in a postgraduate degree or postgraduate diploma

Closing Date: 11:59 pm (NZT) 31 October (Applications open approximately 8 weeks before this date)

Tenure: One year

Number Available Annually: Two

Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: Full-time enrolment in a postgraduate degree or postgraduate diploma at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury

Citizenship/Residency Requirements: Not applicable

Additional Information:

The University of Canterbury Alumni South Island Chapter established the scholarship in 2014. It replaces the University of Canterbury Alumni Association Scholarships, which had been first awarded in 1996, and which were then reviewed and relaunched in 2008. In 2013 the University of Canterbury Alumni Association was wound up and the University of Canterbury Alumni South Island Chapter was founded.
