This scholarship supports undergraduate study related to Forestry at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury and is funded by the Wood Industry Development and Education (WIDE) Trust.

Number Available Annually: Five

Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: Must be enrolled full-time in the First Year of a BForSc degree or Second Year of a BE(Hons) degree in Forest Engineering at the University of Canterbury

Citizenship/Residency Requirements: Must be a citizen of New Zealand

Special Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must be enrolled, or be intending to enrol, full-time at the University in one of the following:
a) First Year of a BForSc programme; or
b) Second Year of a BE(Hons) programme in Forest Engineering.

Miscellaneous:

This scholarship was established in 2018 by the Wood Industry Development and Education (WIDE) Trust to support university-level study in Forestry Science and Forest Engineering. The WIDE Trust is a charitable trust that supports New Zealand citizens undertaking career-related studies in the wood and forest industry sectors and entities involved in the research, development and advancement of forestry and wood science.
