Brief Description:

This scholarship assists and encourages students studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury to hopefully pursue a career in engineering.

b. Provided a suitable position is available, Scott Technology may provide the recipient the opportunity of paid employment during the summer vacation at the end of tenure.

Level of Study during Tenure: Undergraduate

Closing Date: 11:59 pm (NZT) 31 March (Applications open approximately 8 weeks before this date.)

Tenure: One year

Number Available Annually: One

Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: Full-time enrolment in Second Year or Third Year of a BE (Hons) programme specialising in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
Special requirements: Applicants must be female and Aotearoa New Zealand citizens or holders of Aotearoa New Zealand residence class visas.

Scott Automation established the scholarship in 2023 to support the engineering profession by providing assistance to female students undertaking a programme for a BE(Hons) degree specialising in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
