Brief Description:

This award assists Māori or Pasifika students, or students who are indigenous to states or territories of Australia, whose financial circumstances would otherwise preclude them from undertaking postgraduate study in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Canterbury.

This scholarship was established in 1984, from funds provided by the income from a sum that had been raised from the Three Nations Conference on Development and Underdevelopment in Canada, Australia and New Zealand, held at the University of Canterbury in 1980.
