This scholarship supports students for study towards a research doctoral degree at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury.

Value/Benefits:
The scholarship provides financial assistance at a value determined by funds available and stated in the offer. This typically may include a stipend and/or tuition fees for thesis enrolment only at the Aotearoa New Zealand domestic rate.

Level of Study: Doctoral

Closing Date: Two application rounds each year:

May - for students planning to start before end of 2026; opens 20 March, closes 15 May.
October - for students planning to start in 2027 before 1st July 2027; opens August 2026, closes October 2026.

Tenure: Up to 360 points of enrolment

Number Available Annually: Determined annually

Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: The scholarships are tenable by students engaged in study for a research doctoral degree.

Citizenship/Residency Requirements: There are no citizenship or residency requirements for this scholarship.
