$5,000 per annum for up to three years
Brief Description:
This scholarship recognises outstanding performance in MATH 199, the STAR course at Te Kura Pāngarau | School of Mathematics and Statistics of Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury, and supports students majoring in Applied Data Science, Computational and Applied Mathematical Sciences, Data Science, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics at the University. .
Value/Benefits:
Financial assistance at a value of $5,000 per annum for three years

Applicable Enrolment During Tenure:
The scholarship is tenable during full-time enrolment which includes at least 60 points per academic year of taught courses that contribute to a degree programme with a major in:
• Applied Data Science; or
• Computational and Applied Mathematical Sciences; or
• Data Science; or
• Financial Engineering; or
• Mathematics; or
• Statistics

Special Requirements:
Applicants must be enrolled in the STAR course offered by Te Kura Pāngarau | School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University (MATH 199).

Special Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must be enrolled in the STAR course offered by the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University (MATH 199), and may not have been enrolled, in the year of application or in any previous year, in a programme for a degree.
Selection will be based on:
achievement in MATH 199;
evidence of leadership potential; and
strategic objectives of the University.

This scholarship is
not
co-tenable with the AIMS Scholarship.
