The purpose of this scholarship is to recognise and support high academic achievement by 300-level students at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury.

Value/Benefits Financial assistance with the costs associated with university study, at a value of $2,000.

Level of Study: Undergraduate honours and postgraduate

Closing Date: Application not required

Tenure: One year

Number available annually: 25

Applicable enrolment during tenure: Part-time and full-time enrolment in programmes for undergraduate honours or postgraduate degrees.

Citizenship/residency requirements: Not applicable

Additional Information:


The University established the University of Canterbury Senior Scholarship in 1963, after the University Grants Committee transferred to the universities the funds from the University of New Zealand’s Senior Scholarships.
