Description:
The purpose of this scholarship is to recognise and support high-achieving students entering their first year of the Bachelor of Forestry Science (BForSc) degree programme at the University of Canterbury.
Value/Benefits:
a. Financial assistance with the costs associated with university study, at a value of $2,000
Level of Study:
School Leaver (First year undergraduate)
Closing Date:
11:59 pm (NZT) 15 August (Applications open approximately 8 weeks before this date)
Tenure:
One year
Number Available Annually:
Up to five, with one of the scholarships being reserved for a Māori or Pasifika student
Applicable Enrolment During Tenure:
Full-time enrolment in a Bachelor of Forestry Science (BForSc) degree programme at the University of Canterbury
Citizenship/Residency Requirements:
Not applicable
Special Requirements:
Must be completing/have completed a university entrance qualification at secondary level in New Zealand in the year of application (or, in the case of a gap year, in the year immediately prior). International students who meet these requirements are eligible to apply

International students who meet these requirements are eligible to apply.
Selection will be based on:
academic achievement, as indicated by quality of achievement at NCEA, or equivalent university entrance qualification; and
demonstrated commitment to, and interest in, the Bachelor of Forestry Science (BForSc) degree programme.
