Roper Scholarship in Science
Award Amount
$5,000 per 120 points of enrolment

Description:

This scholarship recognises and supports high-ranked students in a programme for a research doctoral degree in Te Kaupeka Pūtaiao | Faculty of Science. It is offered to the single highest-ranked recipient of a UC Doctoral Scholarship who has not been awarded another UC Prestige Doctoral Scholarship and who is studying in Te Kaupeka Pūtaiao | Faculty of Science. Top-ranked candidates who have been selected for a UC Core Doctoral Scholarship are automatically considered for the Roper Scholarship; no application is required.

a. Financial assistance at a value of $5,000 per 120 points of enrolment.

Closing Date: Not applicable

Tenure: The scholarship is tenable for the period necessary to complete up to 360 points of enrolment.

Number Available Annually: One

Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: The scholarship is tenable by full-time and part-time students engaged in study for a research doctoral degree in Te Kaupeka Pūtaiao | Faculty of Science at the University.

Additional Information:

The scholarship was established in 1979 from a bequest of Edward William Roper (d. 4 October 1920).
