Description:

The purpose of this scholarship is to recognise academic achievement by undergraduate students pursuing courses in Electric Power Engineering at the University of Canterbury.

Value/Benefits: The scholarship provides the following:
a. financial assistance at a value of $5,000.
b. A Third Year recipient may also be offered paid work experience or a paid internship with MainPower New Zealand Limited in the mid-year break during tenure and/or in the summer after, if such a position is available, while a Fourth Year recipient may also be offered the MainPower Graduate position, if such a position is available.

Applicable enrolment during tenure: 
Second or Third Professional Year of a BE(Hons) programme in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and at least one Electric Power Engineering course.

Citizenship/residency requirements: 
Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or holders of New Zealand residence class visas.
