Brief Description:

This scholarship supports Pacific/Pasifika students for study towards a research doctoral degree at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha University of Canterbury. Applications must be made on the UC Doctoral Scholarship application form. All eligible applicants who have applied for a UC Doctoral Scholarship are also automatically considered for the UC Pacific Doctoral Scholarship.

The scholarship provides financial assistance at a value determined by funds available and stated in the offer. This typically may include a stipend and/or tuition fee payments.

Level of Study during Tenure: Doctoral

Closing Date: 25 October 2024 (for students commencing doctoral studies between 1 February and 1 July 2025). Applications are made on the 'UC Doctoral Scholarship' form (no separate application required).

Tenure: Up to 360 points of enrolment

Number Available Annually: Determined annually

Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: The scholarship is tenable by full-time and part-time students engaged in study for a research doctoral degree at the University.

Citizenship/Residency Requirements: Not applicable

Special Requirements: Candidates must be Pacific students.
