This scholarship supports Aotearoa New Zealand women citizens for study towards a research doctoral degree in Te Kaupeka Toi Tangata | Faculty of Arts or in Te Kaupeka Ako | Faculty of Education or in Te Kaupeka Oranga | Faculty of Health at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury. Eligible applicants who have applied for a UC Doctoral Scholarship are automatically considered for the Doctoral Graduate Women Canterbury (Inc) Trust Board Scholarship; no separate application is required.
Value/Benefits: Financial assistance with the costs associated with university study, to a value of $24,500 per 120 points of thesis enrolment.Level of Study: Doctoral Closing Date: Applications are made on the 'UC Doctoral Scholarship' form (in years when offered) - no separate application required
Tenure: The scholarship is tenable for the period necessary to complete up to 360 points of PhD enrolment. Number Available Annually: One scholarship is available every three years (NEXT OFFERED 2026)
Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: Enrolment while engaged in study for a research doctoral degree in Te Kaupeka Toi Tangata | Faculty of Arts or in Te Kaupeka Ako | Faculty of Education or in Te Kaupeka Oranga | Faculty of Health at the University.
